Membership in the Association shall be open to all Municipal Clerks, Assistant Municipal Clerks, Returning Officers, and Election Officials in the Province of Alberta, and any other municipal employees with comparable responsibilities to those of the Municipal Clerk, Assistant Municipal Clerk, Returning Officer, or Election Official.

A membership with Alberta Municipal Clerks Association will include you in a great network of colleagues that share common work-related goals and responsibilities. Membership offers you a reduced fee for the Annual Conference. The annual conference provides the perfect opportunity to come together to learn and discuss topics of mutual interest to the Municipal Clerk. With the size of the Association’s membership, it’s easy to interact, meet your colleagues, and learn from each other. Municipal Clerks and employees from municipalities of all sizes are connected to discuss their roles and how to improve their services. Post-Election Meetings are held after every election to discuss election experiences and procedures.
A membership list is provided to all members, which includes contact information for members from all municipalities, big or small, urban or rural. This is a great resource when doing research for your municipality.
All AMCA members are included in a group email address so general inquiries may be forwarded to all the membership through the Association's Communications Director. This email distribution system is the main communication link to all members regarding conferences, meetings, and workshops.
