Membership Ownership

Please note that the AMCA membership belongs to the municipality who pays annually for the membership. If you take a new position with a different municipality, please contact us at admin@albertamunicipalclerks.com for further details on how to obtain a new AMCA membership or arrange to transfer an existing membership from the new municipality.

Membership Renewals

AMCA membership invoices will be emailed out on January 1st for the upcoming year.

Payments can be made online by credit card. 

Please note: Membership renewal payments are due by January 31st for the renewing year.

Regular Membership

Full Membership in the Association shall be open to all Municipal Clerks, Assistant Municipal Clerks, Returning Officers and Election Officials in the Province of Alberta, and any other municipal employees in the Province of Alberta with comparable responsibilities to those of the of the Municipal Clerk, Assistant Municipal Clerk, Returning Officer or Election Official.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership shall be open to any other persons described as above from outside the Province of Alberta. Associate members will have the right to attend all meetings and functions of the Association but shall not hold office in the Association nor vote on matters brought before the Association.
