Join the Alberta Municipal Clerks Association for a full-day of Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Clerk/Board Member training.

Please note the Alberta Municipal Affairs sanctioned SDAB training scheduled for October 19th is suitable for both clerks and board members to attend.

The Municipal Government Act now requires SDAB members and clerks to undergo mandatory training that is approved by Municipal Affairs. Reynolds Mirth Richards & Farmer will facilitate a full-day training session that covers:

  • Alberta Planning Framework
  • Subdivision and Development in Alberta
  • Establishment and Composition of SDABs
  • Guiding Principles
  • Types of Appeals
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Appeal Procedures
  • Assessment of Learning

Following the successful completion of an assessment of learning, attendees will receive a confirmation of completion of the training in accordance with the Municipal Government Act and the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Regulation.

Fee:

  • AMCA Members - $50
  • Non-Members - $100

Please note that lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Cancellation Policy:

For workshops there is cancellation fee of 5% of fee paid for registration provided the cancellation is received prior to the cut-off date of October 3, 2018.  If cancellation is received after that date, no refund is provided.
